poem: showing us her frozen slit

Mother spreads herself wide open
Showing us her frozen slit
Slow at first, but swiftly quickens
No one knows the half of it

Ancient ice falls to the sea
Flooding our lakes, beaches and streams
Water reclaims all you know
Swim now, monkey. It’s time to go.
